Meet Olo, the Head Coach of FRENCH LIKE A NATIVE.
Olo is a native French speaker from Paris, with extensive linguistic knowledge and a deep understanding of French culture.
Olo’s educational background includes rigorous studies in French Language and Literature at the prestigious Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris. Her academic pursuits cultivated a deep understanding of French linguistics, laying a solid foundation for her career.
Fuelled by her insatiable curiosity and passion for acting, Olo pursued further studies at the Conservatory of Dramatic Arts of the 6th arrondissement of Paris, where she mastered the art of declamation and obtained a certificate in French Theatre Studies. This additional training not only enhanced her understanding of the language but also allowed her to explore its expressive and performative aspects. In 2022, Olo trained at the renowned Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, enhancing her skills and knowledge.
Driven by her love for the French language and culture, Olo founded FRENCH LIKE A NATIVE, creating a welcoming environment where individuals of all ages and proficiency levels can achieve native-like fluency and gain confidence in French public speaking. Her teaching methods are tailored, engaging, and designed to make learning French a joyful and enjoyable experience.
In addition to her role as a Head Coach, Olo holds a French Youth Worker Diploma, enabling her to work with children as young as three years old, as well as adults. She prioritizes the well-being and safety of her students and is certified as a First Aider with a Paediatric First Aid certificate, OFSTED approved. Furthermore, she has successfully undergone a DBS check, providing peace of mind to those under her care.
Beyond her coaching endeavors, Olo’s talents extend to the world of entertainment. She is a skilled French dubbing artist, lending her voice to various TV series and movies that require the French Standard Accent, contributing to captivating performances and enhancing the viewing experience.
Olo is also a professional actress, having played roles such as a priestess in the opera show « A Masked Ball » at the renowned National Opera of Paris, Opera Bastille, in the 2017/2018 season. Additionally, Olo has showcased her acting skills in theatre productions, including « Une Vitalité désespérée, » directed by the French theatre company « Scènes et Cités », which received the « Coups de Coeur du Club de la Presse OFF » award at the Festival of Avignon in 2016. Olo also loves to bring laughter to audiences as a stand-up comedian, performing in comedy clubs like Paname Art Café in Paris and the French It Up Comedy Club in London.
Olo is currently collaborating as an actress with the theatre company « Théâtre Sans Frontières » for their play called « Les aventures de Lapin » (Rabbit’s Adventures). This show, performed entirely in French, has an educational focus and is primarily staged in schools across England.
